From Rock to Gold Bar: Complete Gold Mining Process in Sudan 2026

Introduction

Imagine: an ordinary rock in the mountains of the Nile River... After 7 steps it turns into a 24-carat gold bar. This is the journey we will take with you today.

Stage 1: Blasting & Extraction

Objective: Extract ore from the mountain

Equipment: Excavators + Explosives

Mistake and Consequences: Random blasting wastes ore

Stage 2: Primary Crushing

Objective: Break large rocks into small pieces of 10cm

Equipment: Jaw Crusher

Mistake and Consequences: A weak crusher stops the entire plant

Stage 3: Grinding

Objective: Convert pieces into fine powder to extract gold

Equipment: There are two types of mills

1. Wet Mills: Low recovery rate

2. Dry Mills: Better recovery rate

Note: What remains of the stones is locally called "Karta" and it is used in treatment stage number five.

Mistake and Consequences: Incomplete grinding = lost gold

Stage 4: Gravity Separation

Objective: Recover 30% of free gold without chemicals

Equipment: Shaking Table + Centrifuge

Mistake and Consequences: Skipping this stage costs you money

Stage 5: CIL / CIP Cyanidation

Objective: Dissolve the remaining gold in solution

Equipment: CIL Tanks with activated carbon

Important: An environmental safety system approved by SSMO is required

Stage 6: Electrowinning

Objective: Extract gold from the solution

Equipment: Electrowinning Cells

Stage 7: Smelting

Objective: Pour the final gold bar

Equipment: Smelting Furnace + Molds

Conclusion

This is the complete process. Losing any of the stages may reduce production efficiency and lead to financial losses or wasted gold.

The company has a technical team capable of designing and implementing all stages with high efficiency and quality, with flexible and suitable costs.
